There are different selections on a flood light that you have to adjust. It is possible the you have it in test mode right now and when you flip the switch you are sending powering to the flood and it will stay on because it is in test mode. If it is not in test mode and you have it in the normal operation mode you may have the sensitivity set to high. If there are bushes near, running water, or anything that is moving quite a bit all the time it's going to stay on. Also, depending upon how old the flood is. It may simply need replacing. I would check the first two items and go from there. If you become completely stumped, a good electrician should be able to problem solve this very quickly. I have been on a few service calls where simply the flood was bad and needed to be replaced. I hope this helps.

I have multiple GE Rechargeable Flashlights Desc. # GE7905-PFNL with a built in night light bought around the same time. The flashlights work fine but the night lights on each device no longer function. There doesn't seem to be a way to open the unit to replace a bulb. A new unit is $20+ each and if I can repair that would be preferred to buying new ones. Any advice? Thank you in advance!

Hello. I uncovered my flashlight like this tonight going through a box of stuff to still be unpacked and came across your question as the only result of a Google search for replacement information. Eventually I decide to, and succeeded at getting it apart, and then I found, in a search for a replacement battery, this very good review of the product with pictures of disassembly and battery replacement. Rather than post my own pictures, it seemed simpler to just link to the other review. It's well written. I'll just say that I used another method of separating the end caps. They are designed with a snap-together arrangement, but are obviously glued as well, probably with cyanoacrylate adhesive (aka Super Glue). That's really the only challenge with disassembly. The battery is an H110BC NiMH 3.6v battery assembly made from a stack of 3 1.2V button batteries. These seem to be easily available. Also, that search led me to the Sylvania version of this product, still widely available. (Sylvania was previously a GE company, but now appears to be associated with Osram. This would explain the complete dearth of information connected with the GE part number for this flashlight.) Anyway, I hope this helps you. Oh, I just bought a bunch of these online. Here's a list of stores that sell them. Cheers.

Maglite LED. Light switch is intermittent. Have had the same issue with my 8 month old 2AA LED Maglite, don't have receipt and have tried finding a solution to get it fixed again. Lost my temper with it on a job on Friday night and smacked it into a flight case several times (was doing some urgent troubleshooting midway through the show) which seemed to fix it temporarily, however started playing up again Saturday night. The next solution was ebay and getting a new one, and this time I will be keeping the receipt and paperwork. I hope we have just been unlucky as there doesn't seem to be many people with the same issue.

Hi,Unfortunately not, I've seen more and more of these coming back to the shop here with faults. Mostly they seem to be connection problems like yours. Pity, MAG are excellent and have really tarnished their reputation with this LED gimmick. A lot of the customers who return their LED's to us take a traditional MAG as a replacement..

Bought the rechargeable light new a couple years ago, used one time for about 90 seconds. Went to use it again, it was dead. plugged in the battery charger into the cig lighter and it worked after 5 min. charging. I let it charge another 15 min. and it quit working. I then charged it with the electric charger and it never came on. What now?

First, ensure the charger is delivering voltage using a volt meter. If it is, the battery is probably bad. If you have soldering skills, the light can probably be disassembled and a replacement battery can be purchased from Radio Shack or online.
