My streamlight stinger xt flashlight won't charge in the holder, however, the second battery does charge in the "piggyback"

Just change your this Streamlight stinger, try to use new more focus Streamlight. It is easy to hold and better to focus light.

Rechargable Stinger new bulb is dim orange

Could possibly be a bad switch, I would also get that battery tested out also. If you still have a receipt it should be covered under warranty. If not try sending it in anyway. Limited lifetime warranty does not include bulb, or batteries but, anything else on that Stinger should have a lifetime warranty. Of course that excludes abuse. Check out the website www.streamlight.com and go to FAQ for a nearest Authorized Service Center or send it directly to Streamlight. Address also listed on the website. Hope that helps ;)

I have a Streamlight Strion Xenon compact flashlight that has served me well for two years. Recently the 'twist to stay on' feature has failed. The 'push the tailswitch on' feature is still functioning, but the thumb tires after a bit. The battery is good and takes a good charge and the light is still bright. Everything still seems to be tight. I took the tail cap off and remove/replaced the battery, .. Any ideas? Thanks, Ray Paulson, Lincoln, Nebraska

Ray, sounds like the switch has a problem. Streamlight is usually really good about fixing things. If you can drop by a Stream retailer in your area, they will probably give you a new tail cap. Or contact STREAM directly. One thing, when you screw the tailcap tight, does the light come on? I have a SUREFIRE that does that, but I dont have a twist on Streamlight.

My stinger light will not take charge,if i use my other light i can charge the battery. what it can be the problem

All batteries go bad eventually. Heat is bad for them, as well as freezing. Slow charging is better than fast charging. Often if I take the built in batteries in to a electronics place, I can get cheap replacements that can easily be soldered in. Hobby shops are good for this, because they go through batteries so quickly on radio controlled toys.

Makita ML 140 torch. Old battery would not hold a charge as it was very old. Torch works well with a new Makita PA14 battery. But the handle gets quite hot and I need to dismantle it to find the problem. One would not expect heat from the handle but rather from the head. I have undone the screws but the swivel part also has to be removed for access. What is correct procedure? I am radio technician Thanks, Dave B.

Remove the lens, and bulb holder. look down into the cavity, and you will be able to see the spring loaded pivots. Find sonething narrow to push them in with, so that you can remove the head. here is my fix (with photos) for the 18v version
