Hello, New batteries do not work with SolarForce L600 Torch

Hello, I have a solarforce L600 torch, and i bought new batteries for it. My old ones died because of my lack of care, so i decided to buy batteries with a protection circuit. I bought UltraFire 18650 3000mah 3.7 v batteries. They fit, and everything matches the original batteries except the new ones have a larger capacity (mah) which shouldnt be a problem. The problem is when i put in the new batteries (fully charged and ready to go) the flashlight does not light up. I at first thought it was the batteries, so i checked the output with a volt meter, and they seem to be fine. i tried the origi

Niether one of my Executive defenders nor my G2 will work and I have new batteries!!!

Strange how all the units have failed. Sounds like more of a battery problem. Are you using brand name batteries like Surefire, Energizer etc? I had two boxes of Chinese import batteries and most of them failed. I put them into a number of items and had problems. I stopped using them and opted to pay the extra for 'real' batteries. A bad battery can do more harm that just going flat. If it releases too much power when turned on because it isn't properly regulated it can fry the bulb or electronics in those things so equiped. Having said that the big companies also have sets of 'lemmon' batches too. If you have spare globes. First try some other batteries. If it doesn't work then use those batteries and the new globe.

Makita ML 140 torch. Old battery would not hold a charge as it was very old. Torch works well with a new Makita PA14 battery. But the handle gets quite hot and I need to dismantle it to find the problem. One would not expect heat from the handle but rather from the head. I have undone the screws but the swivel part also has to be removed for access. What is correct procedure? I am radio technician Thanks, Dave B.

Remove the lens, and bulb holder. look down into the cavity, and you will be able to see the spring loaded pivots. Find sonething narrow to push them in with, so that you can remove the head. here is my fix (with photos) for the 18v version

Streamlight Model 4, AA, Propolymer Torch: It's an older model never been used, have put in new batteries & it will not work at all. Any solutions?

If batteries were left in the flashlight, it could be corroded on the most inner contact, shine a light, if it's green, try cleaning with alcohol and some scotchbrite, roll it up to fit inside the barrel.

Keeps turning itself off when adjusting beam

It sounds like the spring in the tail cap may be depressed which would cause intermittent contact with the negative end of the Batt. Shake the flashlight vigorously, you should NOT hear ANY noise. If you DO, take the end cap off and pull on the spring, you are trying to stretch it out a bit, replace the cap and shake it again. Go through these steps until it is QUIET when you shake it. Also make sure there's NO CORROSION at the Positive and Negative ends of the contacts. Maglites are pretty user friendly and the best light money can buy. I have the rechargeable model which I carried for 21 years during my tour in law enforcement. Anyway, if it still refuses to work properly, go to; www.maglite.com they are based in California. They will help you get it going. Good luck. :)

C2 Centurion - won't light

I guess from the manaufacturer or retailers point of view, fixing it yourself would void the warranty as there isn't much you can do without dismantling it more than is necessary to fit batteries.

How do I remove the battery?

This is not intended to be a user replaceable battery, although I have found a replacement battery on-line.so that means that SOME people have replaced them. the cost is $9 +s&h. I don't think most camping outfitters would be able to help you with it, But it would be worth a try. My suggestion would be (if you have one in your area) take it to a Batteries Plus store. They are quite good at replacing batteries that are NOT meant for user replacement. Best of luck to you.

My light would work when it was plugged into outlet. Now I have no battery at all.

Hi Pauline: Seems to me that the only way you can expect to get some action would be from the company that you were dealing with. Try contacting the Customer Service department. If you get no help then I would suggest trying to contact the manufacturer.
