I take it that your slider won't connect the two sides of the zipper but just slides along. This is a common problem and is caused by the slider having opened up a bit. Get a pair of pliers and gently squeeze the slider front to back so it'stighter on the zipper, this should do the trick. (Check the zipper for a cracks first, if it's cracked this will be a very temporary fix.) There is acompany that makes a replacement slider that can be fitted to an existing zipper called ZlideOn www.zlideon.se I carry a pair of these in my backpack, one latrge size for the tent and one that fits my jacket/sleeping bag/inner tent. Ingenious product!

My zipper on my jacket wont zip up. - Eureka Tundraline Tent

Many times the slider gets worn or bent apart and won't zip or once it is zipped, it will start to come apart in the middle. Hopefully there will be a size # on the back of the slider. You will need to run the slider up to the top of the jacket, use wire cutters to pry the stop off the top and pull slider completely off the jacket. Buy a new slider at your fabric store or if all else fails, buy a zipper that is the same kind and has the same size slider, and replace your old slider with the one from the new zipper, Replace the stopper and Voila! it should be fine!
