RECEIVED LIGHT AS A GIFT - IT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL - COULD IT HAVE THE WRONG CHARGER OR A BAD BATTERY - IS THERE ANY WAY TO TELL?

First of all try testing the battery with an electrical multimeter tester or any tester and make sure that the battery has a current if it does it rules out both the charger and the battery as the problem then it means that the bulb is probably bad try replacing it and it should work if there is no current running through battery then this means that the battery is bad or the battery and charger are not compatable but if it all came together this should not be a problem

I need a replacement battery for a Vector VEC 126 sport spot light. Judging from what I see on the Internet other people must be having the same problem. Can you give me a source for the battery? The battery in the lite has no markings or other information on it. Any help would be appreciated. My eyes are getting crossed from reading the info on the sites that pop up Thanks Charley Charley

I purchased a VEC142 worklight and cant get it to charge. This light is brand new. never been used. I returned the first one i purchased for the same reason. and i cant figure out why it wont work. I do exactly what the instructions tell me to do. I called tec support and they have the same instructions and dont know why it wont work.

The battery is dead, even new lead-acid batteries can be no good if they have been sitting for awhile, you can contact Black and Decker for Warranty or to purchase a new battery. Here is the link; http://www.dewaltservicenet.com/servicenet_home.aspx?r=No%20%Results
