What kind of bulb does the vec137c-wm 1,000,000 spotlight take?

Hi daved750... Remove the bulb and take it to your local auto parts retailer and show him the bulb, most of the bulbs that are used in the lights that you describe are available and a lot cheaper than ordering at the website of the dealer. The bulb will be a 55 or 60 Watt HID bulb..The higher the wattage the brighter the bulb...but the less time the battery will last.. For a one million candle power will be the 55 Watt bulb Please take time to rate me

I have a 6-7 year old Rayovac Workhorse Lantern- I bought 2 new 6 volt batteries and 2 new tube bulbs for it but it still doesn't work. How and where should I take it to be checked?

The odds that both bulbs went out at the same time is pretty low, actually. It's more likely that there's corrosion in the on-off switch or that an internal wire may have come loose. It's also possible--and I've made this mistake myself--that one of the 6-volt batteries has been put in backwards so that the polarity is not properly aligned for both batteries. With all that said, here are a few simple tests you can do.1. Check the batteries. If you have a battery tester, are both batteries good? If so, check they are properly installed and making good contact with their terminals.2. Pull the bulbs out and use a voltmeter to check that you have voltage going to each bulb tube. This basically means switching the light on and touching each of the terminals where the bulb(s) would clip in. You should see a strong voltage reading on one or both tubes-I believe that this light is designed to keep working, even if one of the bulbs is burned out.3. If you don't get a reading from the bulb terminals, the on-off switch or wiring leading to is is the prime suspect. You may have to disassemble the light housing to get into that, which may not be particularly easy. At this point, you might want to call Rayovac customer service and see what they might do for you under their alleged lifetime warranty for flashlights. You may be able to send it in (holding onto the bulbs for yourself) and get a free replacement.Good luck!

Spotlight wiring diagram

Easier to use a junction box 5A as you need the spur cable from the lighting ring to go into this junction box then have the lights and switch both terminate inside the junction box.

Bad battery ???

It sounds like the battery has just enough "juice" to give the small light some power, but when the larger light is turned on it overloads the bad (or expired) battery. When you put a new battery in you can extend the life by not using the light when the battery starts to die. This is when it starts to permanently damage the battery. Turn it off and recharge as soon as it dims. Charge often, but don't leave on the charger too long unless it is a smart charger and turns off when the battery is fully charged. This will also reduce the life. You can find a replacement battery here:
