Rechargeable maglite Light comes on in vehicles charger for 12v, back up 110v charger light comes but light is not charging. Battery only shows 2.5 volts. I have pulled the flashlight apart for cleanning brefore and I am sure i put it back together properlly. I have checked online to look for a diagram of the charging rings to make sure i put everything back the way it was supposed to be but cant find one.

Unless you are using your Mag. in extreme dusty, dirty conditions, it is not necessary to take it apart for cleaning. The Mag. is sealed against dirt and moisture. Mags are about the best lite made but always remember; 'Anything man made is subject to fail and usually at the most inconvenient time.' If I knew exactly where you are at in the dissasembly I could help you reassemble it. However, barring that; Go to; www.maglite.com, they can help you with what ever you need. Good luck. :)

Rechargeable maglite won't turn on.

Thank you. This post helped me. I couldn't see the break in the filament of my bulb either so I just figured it had to be the battey so I replaced them and still nothing. After reading this post I put an ohm meter on the bulb and had nothing. Replaced the bulb and it works like a champ again.

LED ON CHARGER DOES NOT COME ON STREAMLIGHT POLY STINGER. PROBLEM IS ON BOTH WALL AND CAR CHARGER.

If your Polystinger is an old one could be the battery, if not could be the switch. The chargers rarely go bad. I suggest you send it in for warranty repairs. The switch has a lifetime warranty and batteries are covered within a year warranty accomodating proof of purchase. If you do not have warranty or proof of purchase, you can still send them in for Warranty. ;)

Most likely a short in the charger wiring, try to find someone with another light like yours to confirm, if so you will need to buy a new charger. it coild also be a short in the flashlight charging port too, you will need to confirm with another charger.

I have a Cyclops 2 cell (2xCR123) flashlight that looks like the current CYC-XCF, but has no clip on the side. I bought two CR123-size cells that are rechargeable, but did not notice they are 3.7v each when fully charged. I put the cells in the flashlight right out of the package and they were GREAT--the light was as bright as I have ever seen it. I then recharged the cells, and when the switch was pressed on, the bulb went POOF! Obviously, a bulb designed for 6v was not up to handling 7.4v! In fact, I found one web site which described the bulb as "Ultra Bright 80 Lumens Xenon Bulb (T1-1/2 Xenon 4.8V)," for the new light with the side clip. 4.8v bulb for 6v?? Can you give me a part number for, a bulb which can handle two 3.7v cells? Since the original bulb might be rated at 4.8v, theone I need might be rated at 6v (over-driven by the same percentage). Thank you, Joe Hathaway

The CR123 is a 6-volt cell.

Spot light is unable to recharge with the wall

While it could be the battery, it could also be the internal charger in the spotlight. When you plug it in, it bypasses the charger and uses the connected power. However, it is likely just a bad battery. The batteries only last 3 years in an ideal setting and since these lights are typically only used certain times of the year, the batteries discharge and go bad.
