Thetford pump motor not working

The switch quit working first and my husband fixed with A door bell button. Now the motor is not working. Any suggestions?

Toilet not flushing pump not working - Thetford Porta Potti

Had the same problem a few years ago, the cause was a seized pump blowing the micro switch fuse. To repair turn off 12v and check/replace the circuit fuse. If that's OK, remove toilet roll holder (it pulls out) and release the pump from its well, a crosshead screw holds it in place (don't disconnect the wires) twist the impeller to ensure its free ... switch on 12v and press flush... refit if it now works....if not check/replace the micro switch fuse which is accessible after removing the cassette. If it still doesn't work check that there is power to the micro switch fuse holder, when you press the flush (use a bulb or meter). If there's power then the pump may need replacing, check it when you've disconnected it from the micro switch and before removing it from the tank. New pump is about thirty pounds and like the fuse is a pain to fit.
