Travel Spots-The World's Top 5
A list of the top 5 travel spots in the
world is just not that easy. There are just so many contenders.
But here is a list of the most visited cities in the world.
Ready? Here we go…
1. New York City: This is "the city that never sleeps,"
and sometimes it is because the city is open to both residents
and visitors 24 hours a day. New York City home to the Empire
State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Grand
Central, Central Park and a whole lot more. It is also home to
the world's most active financial district- Wall Street. New
York City is the place to be for its diverse racial and ethnic
population, its warm and welcoming demeanor and its historical
icons and modern attractions.
2. Las Vegas: Call it "gamblers' paradise" or "sin
city" and you will be correct on both counts. Las Vegas is the
entertainment capital of the world. You will see the good, the
bad and the downright ugly sides of the entertainment industry
here. You can also visit the Grand Canyon, go for a gondola
cruise and a whole lot more.
3. London: London is the British equivalent of the
United State's NYC. It is the most cosmopolitan of all the UK's
cities. It boasts of the Tower of London, Big Ben, London Eye,
Westminster Abbey and the Buckingham Palace. It is definitely
one of the greatest travel spots of the world.
4. Venice: So good Shakespeare named one of his best
works after it-The Merchant of Venice. This remarkable Italian
city is home to St. Mark's Basilica, St. Mark's Square, the
Rialto Bridge, the Bridge of Sighs and Doges Palace. Hey, don't
be a shylock! Take a gondola ride, explore the canals of this
great city and go back in time as this city tells you stories
of its evolution from the medieval period to life under
Mussolini and their place in the modern world. This is
definitely a must visit city during your sojourn in Italy (or
is it ancient Rome? ;) )
5. Tokyo: This is one of the busiest and ultimately
most technologically-savvy and advanced travel spots in the
world. After some sushi at the nearest restaurant, go and visit
the Imperial Palace, Meiji Shrine or the Sensoji Temple. These
are historical landmarks of Japanese culture. But you can also
explore the modern side of Japan by visiting Tokyo Dome City,
the Tokyo Tower or even the marvelous Tokyo Disneyland.
There are so many hot travel spots around the world that
could be explored, but they cannot all be covered in this
article. However, more are examined on my travel site
below.
